My Nintendo News

heroes_of_ruin_large

n-Space, a developer whose games have been published by both Activision and Disney on Nintendo systems, says that they are no longer developing for Nintendo systems due to a “low demand” for publishing on Nintendo systems. n-Space produced several popular titles for the Nintendo DS system, including Goldeneye and five Call of Duty games. On the 3DS, they are responsible for Skylanders: Giants as well as Heroes of Ruin, a title published by Square Enix that did not sell as expected. n-Space, who once had a very close relationship with Nintendo, hopes that they will once again see games greenlighted for Nintendo consoles, but for the time being, they are not working on any projects. Dan O’Leary of n-Space had the following to say:

“It’s kind of a sad thing to say, because for a long time n-Space has been known as a Nintendo-friendly developer. We certainly have loved…

Thoughts on Being Yourself

I think sometimes people get a little confused on this topic. Because they know who their friend is but they never really stop and think “who am I?”
I think that you become yourself every single day of your life. Because you have to grow into your personality. And sometimes people don’t think that’s how it works and they copy a friend or some tv persona they like and think is funny. But you are constantly changing through your experiences and how you interpret those experiences and how you choose to do things in the future based on those experiences. But I think that being yourself means you think out of your own consciousness and you make your own choices and that’s what makes you you. That’s what makes you an individual and different than everyone else. And the best thing you could ever do for yourself is be exactly who you are.
So if you don’t know how to be yourself, that’s probably because you don’t know who you are. And the best way to figure out who you are is thinking for yourself and making your own choices. To actually be yourself is an incredibly lonely thing because there is only one of you. There may be other yous in other dimensions but right now on this planet there is only the one. And it makes it easier to just go along with your friends on everything because its easier than thinking for yourself. Which makes it incredibly lonely. And this is also a very scary feeling. Being alone–feeling like the bird that got kicked out of the nest–nobody likes these feelings but you need to have them at least once so you can get in touch with the real you and learn how to make your own decisions and be yourself.

My Travels in San Francisco

Hi!

A couple of days ago someone mentioned that they would like to read my journal of my travels the next time I see them. My first thought was “Wait,….photos aren’t enough?”

And this got me thinking….Why didn’t I think to write anything down? So I figured I should start.

So.

The first thing that happened as my flight from home was taking off was- an old businessman sat next to me. He was on his cell phone and he proceeded to continue his conversation until we started to take off. He quickly turned off his phone when the stewardess approached him. He and I had a nice chat about where we were going after we hit Dallas. When we landed he made sure I was okay and knew where I was going.

I got a little bit lost in Dallas Airport…but I kept walking until I found the SkyTrain and I was on time to my flight to San Francisco. The flight to SanFran was very crowded and smelly. When I got to SanFran I met up with my aunt and uncle and we spent some time in the city. We took a ferry around the city and saw the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. We also went to a pretty awesome wax museum. Shea and I ate a crab dinner. We also went to a Chinese place that did a-la-carte meals only….weird, expensive, and delicious..   We went to the mall a couple of times which was awesome bc I didnt bring all that much with me. We also went to go see the new star trek movie. And OMDL we went to a super awesome comic book store in Castro..and I had a nice chat with the clerk at the comic book store about Doctor Who. The Whovian Community is worldwide now!!! hehehehe

Anyway, I had a great time there and I’m looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks:)

Ridiculous Rituals

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the efforts that women go to or men..and how ridiculous they are. Some women go to the extremes and do horrible painful things to themselves just to feel sexy. Some become a totally different person and different personality to become what they think their man wants. So I’m here to tell the vaginas out there that you don’t need to do that. Think about it: guys just roll outta bed-with those balls–they’re so disgusting–and they just throw on clothes and go about their day. Women never stop preparing. We shave, twease, pluck, wax, fix our hair, makeup–all hours in advance and most of us don’t realize that it’s not required. If it helps you feel sexy-do it. If you feel like it’s pointless and is an endless waste of time-you don’t have to:) All you need is a little confidence in yourself and a little comfort in your own skin.
Just a thought.

Insecurities–why??

Insecurities are some of the worst things women have to deal with. One thing many women (including myself) are insecure about is our bodies. Our boobs, faces, butts, thighs, fat, tummies, feet, etc. You name it-we’re probably insecure about it. But what causes these insecurities? For me I found that magazines, photos of models, music about beautiful women, movies, billboards, etc caused a lot of deep rooted insecurity and low self-esteem. But honestly, I figured out that no body looks exactly like another. No two boobs are exactly the same so it’s impossible to have perfect boobs since there is no set standard. So I cut all of that media that was causing my self-esteem issues, stripped down in front of my mirror, and stared at my body for half an hour. Then I figured-hey I’m kinda hot…this is new. Now whenever I feel ugly, fat, or insecure about anything-I just strip down and get comfy, read a book, or listen to music-just chill out and pretty soon I got comfortable with my body and love how I look:)
Hint hint 😉 😉 you need to love your body before you can love yourself or anyone else. You can only have self-confidence if you learn how to have a good relationship with your body.

Sometimes I just rant

So a friend of mine is getting married soon. Yay! Good for her. But yeesh….wedding and romance and…stuff. So we’ve been going through lists of romantic movies and music and magazines—anything involving weddings to pick out stuff that might be nice for her wedding. And while we’ve been going through this stuff I’ve realized that–nothing works this way.
1. Romantic Movies: the notebook-
Now I like the notebook. It’s a good love story and it warms even the coldest soul. But kissing in the rain-doesnt always work out. You got water pouring all over your face in your mouth up your nose. Makeup is running everywhere. Nobody likes making out with the girl from the ring.
2. Romantic books: guys almost never say the right thing. So if you’re reading a great romance novel and the guy says something or does something super thoughtful and romantic-just think about the author…it’s probably a woman. You’re reading a book written by a woman and she thinks that would be the perfect thing for a guy to say in that moment. Sorry but that’s not how the world works so don’t expect that from a real guy.
3. Bridal magazines: keep in mind that designers pay the mags to put those ads and pictures in there. Just because they’re in a 10$ magazine and listed as affordable–doesn’t mean it’s under 5000$.
4.romantic music: if you listen to the lyrics in romantic music, you’ll almost always hear a sex reference. Yeah that’s romantic-this musician singing about his past sexual conquests. No!

If anyone has anything to add or comment about, plz do and I will follow up on it:)
